Description
Up for bid is an extremely rare Jazz LP, an original deep groove Japanese pressing of Hideo Shiraki's self-titled album on King Records. This was recorded Nov. 26-27, 1958 for King Record Co. LTD in Tokyo, Japan. Though all of the notes on the back cover are in Japanese, research indicates that the personnel on this recording featured Hachiro Kurita on bass, Takeshi Onodera on bongos/congas, Kazuo Yashiro on piano, Akira Miyazawa on tenor sax, Akira Fukuhara on trumpet, and Hideo Shiraki on drums. The LP also features a very nice selection of songs:
Side A:
1. I Got Rhythm
2. Moritat
3. The Man I Love
4. A Mono-Drummer
5. Tuxedo Junction
Side B
1. Lover, Come Back To Me
2. Around The World
3. Drum Boogie
4. A Night In Tunisia
The LP for your consideration is in all around strong VG++ condition. The deep groove vinyl has a few light marks on either side that are visible but do not impact the playback. The laminated jacket is also in VG++ condition, due to a bend to the top left corner of the jacket and some light wear on the back side of the jacket, as pictured. Other wise, the seams and spine remain intact and the corners show only light signs of wear. Don't miss out on your chance at a truly rare original pressing of an essential recording to any Jazz collection.
All items are promptly shipped in sturdy cardboard record mailers. LP will be shipped in a poly-lined inner sleeve outside of the jacket to ensure safe travels. Check my previous feedback and bid with confidence. Please feel free to contact me with any questions regarding the item or shipping.
