Description
Original 1969 UK Issue 6-track Stereo Vinyl LP on Liberty Records.
This is first issue with the original BLUE/GREEN Liberty Labels,
and Original Gatefold Sleeve printed and made by MacNeil Press, London.
Now over 40 years old, this record has become something of a historic artefact, and is considered to be among the first real "Heavy Metal" albums ever.
It regularly features in articles about "The Birth Of Metal", most recently in the January 2010 issue of the UK's "Record Collector" magazine.
Not often seen, let alone in this condition.
Generally in great condition all round - Very clean vinyl, and very little sleeve "grubbiness". This copy has survived it's 40-plus years incredibly well!!
Catalog Number - LBS 83264.

Vinyl - Strong EX
- As near unmarked as makes no difference. Not even any notable superficial marks.
- Matrix/Stamper Codes "LBS 83264 A // 1" and "LBS 83264 B // 1".
Gatefold Sleeve - EX
- Very Minor crease in open edge.
- No sticker marks or writing, No ring wear, No splits, Very minor edge/spine wear. All text on the spine is unrubbed and readable.
- A single, very small "spot" on the back cover, otherwise the white background is clean and tidy .
Labels - EX Plus
- Clean and unmarked. No fading, wear, marks or writing. No visible spindle wear.

I use the UK "Record Collector Magazine" grading system for vinyl.
Vinyl Gradings are visual unless otherwise stated.
Items are graded honestly and conservatively - I know how it feels to get overgraded stuff through the mail !
