Highway Hi-Fi: A High Fidelity Recording Manufactured Expressly For The Chrysler Corporation By Columbia Records

These special little records are made for the Highway Hi-Fi Record Player manufactured for Chrysler cars in the late 50s. They play at 16 2/3 RPM and use a special stylus (needle).

My Dad gave me this 13-Record Set with the carrying case in hopes that it could earn some money to help me start my business, which is to bring great 20th Century music to today's youth. Let's make Dad proud!

I am a record collector, but I have never had any experience with these types of records. None of them are play-tested because the covers explicitly state "it should not be played on other machines equipped with standard or microgroove needles." I also did not want to try and clean them with anything in fear of damaging the teeny tiny grooves. (The grooves are so small and packed so tightly that the record almost feels smooth.)

DESCRIPTION:

Included in this set are 13 original Highway Hi-Fi records in their respective paper sleeves, plus a carrying case. Most of the records are in excellent condition, but the sleeves show a significant amount of wear and tear, staining, etc. See below for more information on the condition.

The carrying case may or may not be authentic to the Highway Hi-Fi system. It has a clasp and lock on it, but part of it is missing/broken. The inside features a "spring loaded" base that the records sit on, and slowly lowers as you add more records. The case is in relatively good condition for its age despite the clasp/lock being broken. It still holds the records well.

Ebay lets me upload 12 pictures per listing, so if you need additional pictures please send me a message with a note asking what you would like more pictures of and I will do my best to get them to you.
