Description

Here we have one of Oz Hip Hop’s rarest records. Pressed in 1997, this 7-track EP was the first official release from Adelaide’s Hilltop Hoods. Featuring MC’s Suffa and Pressure, DJ Next on the turntables and DJ Debri on production, it is the rawest and most underground selection of tracks that the Hoods have ever released. It is also tight and well produced, showcasing the talent and drive that would propel the boys from Blackwood to becoming Australia’s most popular Hip Hop group.

This EP is one of Oz Hip Hop’s Holy Grails and is extremely hard to find. In the last 2 years I’ve only seen one other copy for sale and it was priced at well over $2000! So if you’re a vinyl fiend, an Oz Hip Hop supporter or a die-hard Hoods fan, here’s your chance to get a copy of the album that started it all for the Adelaide crew...

Vinyl: VG+ Some light scratches and one large scratch on Side A (see pics) that was there when purchased; scratches don’t affect play too much and tracks play through

Cover: VG++ White cover has a little bend in bottom left hand corner and small marks and ring wear that are normal for a cover from 1997; Green sticker is in excellent condition with no corner ears

South Side (A):

1. Intro

2. Back Once Again

3. Shades Of Grey ft. a verse from DJ Debri!

4. No Redemption

Flip Side (B):

1. Mankind Must Suffer ft. Quromystix (Finger Lickin’ Good/Fuglemen)

2. Gemini

3. Back Once Again Remix ft. Flak aka Fat Face (Crossbred Mongrels)

Produced by DJ Debri except for “Back Once Again Remix” which is co-produced by Flak

All scratches by DJ Next

Recorded at S.A.E. Studios, Adelaide

Runout: (A) HILL001-A ML10405-A

(B) HILL001-B ML10405-B

Payments: Cash on pickup preferred or bank transfer or PayPal. Goods will not be posted until all payments have been cleared and are available.
