The 1978 "History of Rock and Roll" produced by Drake-Chenault was a comprehensive syndicated radio documentary covering the history of rock and roll from its roots to the then-present day. The 1978 version was released in stereo format on vinyl records. These vinyls are notable for featuring the original stereo versions of the documentary and for prioritizing the music from the 1960s onwards, with a reduced focus on the 1950s and early 1960s.


These are the ORIGINAL edition of this series, released in 1978, not the revised and reissued sets in 1981 and 1986. They were distributed to radio stations only.
