Description

Original 1980 L'Oiseau Lyre 3LP box set of Hogwood & the AAM with sopranos Emma Kirkby & Judith Nelson in Handel: Messiah. The penguin guide notes the superb ensemble of the Christchuch trebles (all of this recorded in their home chapel), in this full-on recreation of a 1754 performance of it from a notated score from the foundling hospital, where it was performed with the composer conducting.

Near Mint playing surfaces, clean labels, Excellent box.
