Description
Holy Grail! The Summer Sounds – Up Down LP – Laurel Records – 1969 Dartmouth, Mass private press organ garage melodic masterpiece concept LP. Condition: Cover is strong VG+, intact, no split seams. Some corner wear, small tear on back cover near upper band photo. Record is strong VG, some lite scuffs that don’t effect play, sounds much better due to quality tube reel to reel recording and pressing. Band member Joe Pacheco, lead singer, songwriter, organ player TOLD ME that this LP was about a lost love affair he had with a certain girlfriend that he wished to forget. The pain, sadness, grief and loneliness expressed on these songs is for REAL. Whoever buys this LP, will get a letter and Xerox photo of the Summer Sounds that he sent me in 1991. I found this LP at a record show in Boston in the fall of 1990. Also have the Summer Sounds Teen Dance Poster for sale as well. This LP and the Rising Storm LP should be listened to, one after the other, as an example of true teenage garage genius..Buyer must agree to pay for full insurance which is included in shipping costs. NOTE: to avoid shipping this very rare LP, I would be willing to offer a discount to whomever wants to come to the Philadelphia area to pick up this LP in person....
