Description

Here's the second copy of this particular release I have available, original gatefold sleeve and original silver injected inners with the 'Copyright Control' credit on the right hand side.
Released in 1978 on Polydor Records (2059 052) Hong Kong Garden was Siouxsie and the Banshees debut release which brought a completely different sound to the punk movement, those soaring guitars plus Siouxsie's distinctive voice.
The initial pressing had this gatefold sleeve and, as mentioned, the Copyright Control credit on the inners.
The vinyl is in Good condition with the a side playing flawlessly, the let down is at the end of Voices, the b side. Visibly there's a scratch covering the inner centimetre of the grooves and while there's some light noise audible through the quieter passages of this song as the end approaches the scratch has a small effect on the sound without jumping but acts like a closed groove on my deck, getting very near the very end of the track it starts repeating the final bar ad infinitum. sorry to report that but it's the truth.
The cover is in Good condition with general wear understandably visible after 38 years of life. The pouch that holds the record has a small split at the bottom edge and on the corresponding point at the top a small part of the blue has been worn off. Other than that this is still a very good example of this rare sleeve so like the other copy I'm selling this could be a replacement to an ailing cover you may already have.
