Here is a copy of Hope Sandoval and The Warm Inventions’ 2001 debut album on vinyl - super rare and hard to find!
There is however an issue with this particular one and this is reflected in the low starting price. The issue is that the record suffers from no-fill errors. For the uninitiated, what this is is a flaw in the manufacturing process relating to insufficient heat being used to create the grooves resulting in the occasional poorly formed groove.
How this manifests itself vis-a-vis the listening experience is that you will hear periodical sounds that resemble the ripping of paper. It is intrusive and happens several times during the record and as such I can only feel comfortable describing the condition as G.
That said, the rest of the LP is NM and even with these occasional issues it is still an enthralling listening experience with Sandoval’s voice coming through as thick, seductive and ethereal. Clearly a better option than the (still fine) CD even in its compromised incarnation here.
