Description
This is an original deep-groove (Side 1 only) RVG-etched “P”-pressing of Horace Parlan “Headin’ South” on the New York USA labels of Blue Note BLP 4062. (BLP 4062 has never been seen with a deep-groove on both sides.) The playing surface is in near-new condition, with a high luster; perhaps played once or twice. The laminated cover has the New York 23 address and is bright and clean throughout; ¼” wear at the corners of the bottom seam and on the top seam, at the opening; pencil impressions and “Review Copy” stamped at the top of the back slick; Personnel include George Tucker, Al Harewood, and Ray Barretto.
