Horace Silver "Six Pieces Of Silver" original LP, Blue Note # 1539, mono W. 63rd pressing
This auction is for an original copy of the Blue Note jazz album "6 Pieces Of Silver" by Horace Silver. Sesssion features Donald Byrd, Hank Mobley, Doug Watkins, and Louis Haynes. Record is deep groove with the W. 63rd NYC address on label, RVG and the "ear" etched in dead wax on both sides. Album is an original and was obtained along with many other 50s and early 60s jazz records. Vinyl is NM and appears unplayed except for one very small scuff that does not affect play with plenty of shine and gloss. Jacket is a conservative VG with a 5" seam split on bottom that could easily be repaired, a very fragile top seam, and some light storage wear. Record has been stored outside of jacket since finding this LP. Please see photo below. An very nice and respectable copy of this hard to find jazz LP. Will ship well packed in cardboard record mailer.
