Up for bid is a rare white label promo LP, "The Giant is Awakened," by the Horace Tapscott Quintet. See pictures for song list. This was released by Flying Dutchman (Stereo FDS-107) in 1969. LP is a solid VG+, with light scuffs on either side (these are so light I am sure most are from the interior paper sleeve). This LP looks and sounds great - plays with some light surface noise (some intermittent crackle and tics). Surface noise may be greatly reduced with a professional clean. Interior labels are very clean. LP is very clean and retains a nice gloss. Gatefold jacket is a solid VG+, with no seam splits. All corners show wear. There is a small promo sticker on the back of the jacket in the top left corner (see pictures). There is wear along the lip of the jacket on the back. There is a small wear spot on the bottom seam near the front bottom right corner about 1/2 inch long. There is light ring wear on the front and back of the jacket.There is a couple of air bubbles underneath the gloss on the back of the jacket. There is a crease along the spine on the back of the jacket. Interior of the gatefold is very clean. Colors on the jacket remain bright, and the front and back retain a nice gloss. Don't miss this rare gem!
