Description
The personnel of this outstanding Jazz disc has always been in
question by the "experts" so I won't offer any of my own humble
opinions.
Trombone Red & His Blue Six play a red hot tune entitled "Greasy
Plate Stomp" on 78rpm Royal Blue Wax Viva-Tonal Columbia 14612-D.
Some great solos!
On the other side they do "B Flat Blues."
Both sides were recorded in New York City on June 18, 1931.
The record is in E- to V+ condition. There are some light edge lams
and some light internal lams, no noise. There is an edge flake not to
the grooves.
