Description
The actual title for this great session is "Double or Nothin'" but it doesn't really make it clear what this is. A better title would have been something to establish that this features East Coast post-bop stars and West Coast players of equal style and reputation playing separately and playing together. .

From the West: Conte Condoli, trumpet-Frank Rosolino, trombone-Bob Cooper, tenor sax-Dick Shreve, piano-Red Mitchell. bass-Stan Levey, drums
There are four Golson tunes here, of which the most famous are "Stablemates" and "Blues After Dark." The East coasters play together on two numbers. The West coasters on two. For the other six they combine in many different ways.
