Just played this classic album one last time. Plays fine on my turntable with my new needle. Cannot guarantee you will have exact same experience with your needle and turntable stylus pressure/balance setting, but you should enjoy a good play on both sides. Fabulous Blues songs, each track, a classic. Nothing like the old analog warm recordings. CD's are ok, but ya can't beat an old collectable LP. You can see were it not for Howlin' Wolf, there would be no Canned Heat, Yardbirds, Led Zeppelin, as we knew them. Sounds clear, strong and most songs are clean. Just a few songs have the usual subtle pops, very light surface noise inherent in an old L.P.. I am putting the record in a dust sleeve from another album of that era, as added protection from the inside of the LP cover. Here are the tracks and their quality as experienced by me on my new turntable/needle: Side 1- Moanin' At Midnight Good strong and clear. How many More years Good strong and clear. Smokestack Lightnin' Good strong and clear. Baby How Long Good strong and clear. About 2 pops Baby, How Long Good strong and clear. No Place To Go Good strong and clear. All Night Boogie Good strong and clear. Side 2 Evil light surface noise I'm Leaving You light surface noise Moanin' For My Baby Good strong and clear. I Asked For Water, She Gave Me Gasoline Good strong and clear. Forty Four Good strong and clear. Somebody In My Home Good strong and clear, last 1/4th, at end, a little light surface noise Thank you for reading these notes.
