Description
The Goods
Howlin’ Wolf—Same-Title (Rocking Chair LP), Black Chess 1469, VG-/VG;
The Vinyl
While the record looks VG- to VG, it plays VG to VG+ although there is some slight hiss between the tracks that does not detract much from the music quality, and was in many original new pressings. Just slightly lesser sound condition than my copy of “Moanin” that also is for sale. My personal copy for years. Matrix reads LP 1469 Side 1 U-11558, LP1469 Side 2 U-11559.
The Cover
Nice cover except slight ringwear, and bottom middle and right hand side seam split. Spine is strong. Cover would be M- but for small seam splits and, most importantly, the name “Carey Parker” written in black magic marker across top 4” of back cover. Label is nice with no writing or damage, but there is a fair amount of noticeable spindlewear.
Seller Crap. No reserve. Minimum bids are my original cost basis unless noted (gotta pay taxes!). Records, when play graded, are graded using my Ruby 3 BMicro Benz cartridge on my Rockport "Sirius" turntable with a Benz Lukashek phono line stage. All records are guaranteed; I'll pay postage both ways if you are not satisfied. Records not paid for within 7 days (absent consentual communication with buyers) will be offered to next highest bidder if I can still bear to part with the particular item that is advertised for sale.
