Description
HOWLIN’ WOLF CHESS LP 1469 Black and Silver Label ROCKING CHAIR ALBUM.
Cover has multiple signs of wear with ring wear, some staining, corner dings and seam splits on the top and bottom. Each seam split is about 3 to 4 inches long and in the center of the seam.
The record label has spindle marks and wear near the spindle hole on Side 1 and on Side 2. The silver CHESS lettering on Side 2 of the label has bubbled up.
The record plays through without skipping but has a few dimples, light scratches, groove wear and a very tiny ding on the edge of the lead-in groove on Side 2 that cannot be heard and doesn’t affect play. It has significant surface noise off and on throughout, lots of snaps, crackles and pops, but no skips and no warp.
“LP 1469 Side 1 U11558” and “J-M 0179” followed by what looks like an encircled ohm symbol is stamped on the dead wax on Side 1. “LP 1469 Side 2 U-11559” and “J-M 0180” followed by what looks like an encircled ohm symbol is stamped on the dead wax on Side 2.
The CHESS CADET insert has a few seem splits, folds and yellowed age stains. It was with the record when I bought it and I have no idea if it is the original insert. I will ship the record in a Mobile Fidelity Sound Lab sleeve and include the CADET insert.
