Description
For sale is a collection of 12” vinyl LP records. There are a few singles, but the vast majority of them are albums, totalling 1000s of tracks to be enjoyed. I have counted and there are around 700 records in the collection.
To give some background on the collection, the vast majority of it came from the collection of a radio station called Radio Heatherwood in Ascot. This means that whilst almost all of the covers are tired from use, the records themselves are generally very well looked after and play well. They have been in storage (correctly stored I might add) since then as well as being added to with some personal purchases as well. Most of these records are around 40 years old.
I have played a sample of around 50 of them before making this listing to get an idea of what condition they are in after all these years and the vast majority played extremely well regardless of any minor hairline scratches. There will of course be a few not so great where they have sustained damage or larger scratches but these are not too frequent.
There is a huge range of genres, but mainly we are talking 50s thru 80s with some classic and other bits and pieces thrown in too.
This is not the kind of bundle you want to buy if you are looking to sell on, but instead is a bundle for someone who simply wants to appreciate and listen to all the great music on the vinyls to add to their collection. As mentioned there are 1000s of tracks and hours worth of listening here!
I have pictured an example sticker of how the radio catalogued the records, a cool little bit of history I think!
Collection only from Reading as these are extremely heavy!
Any questions let me know.
