Description
This sale is for a huge lot of THAI Luk Thung 45s. Included are 20 different 45s which would be considered Luk Thung (the most popular style of music in the many rural areas of Thailand). I bought this collection from a well-known collector who bought many dead stock and lightly used copies of 45s on their multiple trips to Thailand. All of the records are within the VG/VG+ range, with most being the higher end. Having traveled in Asia many times myself, I can safely say that these are the best condition 45s I've seen from the 1960s/1970s era.
The majority of these records are on Diamond Label (yellow and red center label) and Accordion Label (red white and blue center label) with a few other odds and ends thrown in. Please note that a few of the center labels have a clear plastic protective layer that sometimes overlaps the vinyl, but doesn't impede the grooves. Sound quality on these records is excellent! (Photos show the A-sides and B-sides of each of the records.)
After buying these records about 7 years ago, I put them in new paper sleeves and plastic protective sleeves. They have since been stored in a smoke-free home and played minimally. I hate to part with these, but I am moving to Asia in a few months time and can't take any records with me. My loss is your gain! These are great records that showcase Thai popular music beyond the scope of the great Sublime Frequency comps!
I will pack these records really well and ship them via USPS Media Mail with insurance. Please let me know if you have any questions. Thanks for looking!
p.s. - I can read/speak Thai, so if you have any questions about song titles, I can do my best to translate.
