Pristine copy of Hugh Hopper's 1973 debut album '1984' on the CBS label, UK 1st pressing. Sleeve has signs of edge wear, light ringwear and light shelf wear, but is otherwise in very good condition, vinyl is near-perfect and plays without any pops, hissing, jumps or interruptions.

Bassist and composer Hugh Hopper was formerly a member of Soft Machine before starting his own solo career with this bold and experimental instrumental jazz-rock album based loosely on Orwell's seminal novel of the same name. Also featuring ex-Soft Machine member John Marshall (drums), Caravan's Pye Hastings (guitar), Gary Windo (saxophone) and Lol Coxhill (saxophone), this dazzlingly inventive album remains Hopper's finest work.
