Description
A first US pressing of one of the hardest rocking albums of 1969, 'As safe as yesterday is' is a band on fire. Peter Frampton and Steve Marriott made the right move when they joined forces for this powerhouse heavy rock killer. I'm sure the expectations were very high when they left behind established bands, Small Faces and Spooky Tooth, but obviously Humble Pie stepped up with a no-filler debut that does not disappoint, and is the best place to start for those who may be confused or let down by their many 70s albums. A very nice and near 57 year old OG pressing in sharp EX/VG+. All corners and seams are holding tight with just a bit of wear on the bottom spine. Vinyl shows numerous lines and evidence of handling and good times. Vinyl looks VG+, but cleaned and play tested is a loud and pumped up feast of inventive guitars and song craft! A great album signaling the dawn of the 70s and easily as good as any debuts by Led Zeppelin, Taste, Leaf Hound, or Black Sabbath.
