This handsome LP – a superb collector’s copy – from Hungaroton
(SLPD 12574, Hungarian pressing, yellow label, DDD stereo, insert included)
entitled “Cello Encores” features the great cellist Miklos Perenyi, partnered with pianist
Zoltan Kocsis no less, in a dazzling and poetic program, warmly recorded in Budapest
