Anderson (who was not the same guy that fronted Jethro Tull) was a bottleneck and slide guitarist.Indeed from 1970 he added the 'A' between his names to avoid confusion with the Jethro Tull frontman.
He'd been in a local R&B band at school, but from 1966 started playing folk and blues clubs around Bristol.
In 1968 he began touring nationally as part of the British blues boom with artists like Mike Cooper and Jo-Ann Kelly.
Indeed he recorded The Inverted World with Mike Cooper on his own Matchbox label.
He then formed Ian Anderson's Country Blues Band. From 1970 he worked as a solo artist, forming his own Village Thing label.
One More Chance from his fifth album appeared on the Us sampler. His albums featured mostly self-penned material...(AllMusic)
