Description
CROSBY, STILLS, NASH AND YOUNG - AMERICAN DREAM - 12" VINYL LP
IAN DURY -
WOTABUNCH
Format
12" vinyl LP
Label/Cat. No
WEA WX326
Year
1980s?
Condition
The vinyl is in EX condition, and both labels should be white, but the previous owner has added details, as you can see in the pic.
It appears to be a test pressing for a version of the album which was not released, probably a later re-issue. The catalogue no K56513 is etched in the run-off, but the track list does not coincide with any release I can find with that catalogue number. The only other info on the runoff is the word "ALLEN"
Even allowing for the previous owner possibly getting track titles wrong, there are eight tracks on side 1 and five on side 2, and I can't find any release with this catalogue number with that number of tracks on each side.
So I don't really know exactly what this is - I'll start the bidding low and see what happens. If anyone has any info on what this could be, I'd be delighted to hear from you.
There is no outer sleeve with this record.
I've now played the record, and the guy's got the track listing right, although he has guessed at some of the titles from the lyrics.
The ones he has slightly wrong are:
Side 1, track 3 is Patience (So What)
Side 2 track 1 is Huffety Puff
Side 2 track 2 is The Flunkey Drive
Side 2 track 3 is The Badger and the Rabbit
Side 2 track 4 is The Mumble Rumble and the Cock Tail Rock
All other song titles are correct and in the correct order.
The only thing I can think of is that this was a test pressing of a version of the album which was never released.
Other Info
Please let me know if you would like any more photos.
I will, of course combine shipping for multiple purchases - I do not look to make a profit on postage.
Please look at my other listings. I am now selling ALL my vinyl, in roughly alphabetical order, probably at a rate of 100 or so each week, so if you don't see anything else this week, come back next week. Eventually, I'm sure I'll get to what you're looking for!
