As Greece was one of the few countries all over the world where vinyl was still selling strong in the early 90s, the local divisions of MINOS / EMI AE and Virgin in those days got the rights from UK to compile, manufacture and release a Greek-ONLY very limited edition of an IAN GILLAN and DEEP PURPLE joint compilation album on vinyl! Housed in a single laminated sleeve which included five [5] tracks - Black night / Into the fire / Fools / Highway star / Smoke on the water - from Deep Purple’s era with Ian Gillan on A side and five [5] more tracks  - Living A Life / Fighting Man / If I Sing Softly / Bluesy Blue Sea / Life Goes On - from Ian Gillan’s solo career on B side with track info and liner notes from the late compiler Yanis Koutouvos in Greek language on the back cover[see photos]! So this is a fine copy of this ultra rare original Greek ONE and ONLY vinyl issue WORLDWIDE with Cat No 7243 8 28999 1 4 and Matrix Nos 8289991 A¹ [A side]and 8289991 B¹ [B side, both hand written]!

Also, such a copy was given away FOR PROMOTIONAL USE - that’s why the 3.4 x 1.9 cm white and red sticker STILL INTACT on the back stating FREE SAMPLE [?????? ?????? in Greek language]!

Deleted upon release and unavailable for 25 years and RARELY SEEN on eBay, this auction is the only way to get one of the more sought-after items in the Ian Gillan/Deep Purple discography on a reasonable price! So, do not miss …

Grading:I use the GOLDMINE standards for grading STRICTLY & CONSERVATIVELY  the condition of the items listed. The grading is mostly visual, though I d? “spot check” each of the songs play-graded on a Technics SL-1200MK2 with a, weight of 1.5 gram, Stanton 681 EEE MK III! songs.
