This is a concept rock album about characters from the Marvel Comics. Recorded in late 1970 but held-up, until it was released in mid 1972. I wouldn't call this necessarily progressive at all, but the influences are there. It is mostly entertaining, semi hard rock with influences ranging from boogie rock to blues, some prog moves and even psych effects. All with soul-style vocals and some occasional use of flute, sax and percussions. Overall, their sound strongly reminds me of bands such as Toe Fat and even Crow.
My favourite songs are the prog-influenced "Fantastic Four", easily the most enjoyable song from the set, and the heavy, organ-dominated instrumental "Iron Man" with lots of phasing effects.
