The one and only album by the UK prog band ICARUS, The Marvel World of Icarus, was apparently issued in 1972 and soon withdrawn, hence its rarity.
The copy on sale here is a white label TEST PRESSING, housed in the original LAMINATED cover.
The vinyl has some light scuffs and plays with moderate background and the odd click here and there. Being a test pressing the sound is a bit less brilliant than the standard release, and it can be an early different mix to the one that was commercially released. The vinyl has hand-written matrix numbers NSPL-28161-A2 and NSPL-28161-B1 in the run-off groove. Labels are white with no titles printed, just A and B written in pencil.
I'll include a colour scan with the standard release labels.
The laminated cover is flat and with some small defects only: a very small tear in the top side of the back cover (white on white background) and a dent in the top right corner on the back, which partly affects the seam (as visible in the pictures below, near the THE of the LP title and the left hand of the THING character) and caused a small break in the lamination. There is also a lamination detachment in the left side of the front cover along the seam (approx. 6 cm long, this is visible in the last picture below).

MINT: The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition. Records advertised as Sealed or Unplayed should be Mint.

EXCELLENT: The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packag­ing might have slight wear and/or creasing. 

VERY GOOD: The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable sur­face marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable. 

GOOD:The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discoloration, etc. 

FAIR:The record is still just playable but has not been cared for prop­erly and displays considerable surface noise; it may even jump. The cover and contents will be torn, stained and/or defaced.

POOR:The record will not play properly due to scratches, bad surface noise, etc. The cover and contents will be badly damaged or partly missing. 

Please notice that I don't use Mint but NEAR MINT (which is very close but refers to a secondhand used record) except for Sealed/Brand New/Unplayed records, and I don't sell Poor or unplayable records. I try to be as honest as possible when grading records, but a mistake can be made from time to time.

L'unico album del gruppo inglese ICARUS venne realizzato nel 1972 e apparentemente subito ritirato, da qui la sua rarità.
La copia in vendita qui è un TEST PRESSING con etichetta bianca, contenuto nella copertina originale laminata.
Il vinile ha qualche segno superficiale e suona con moderato rumore di fondo e qualche clic. Essendo un Test Pressing il suono è meno brillante rispetto all'edizione che venne messa in commercio, e non è escluso che il missaggio sia leggermente diverso. Il vinile ha i numeri di matrice scritti a mano NSPL-28161-A2 e NSPL-28161-B1. Le etichette sono bianche senza scritte stampate, solo una lettera A e una B scritte a matita sui due lati.
Accludo al disco una scansione a colori delle etichette dell'edizione standard.
La copertina laminata è in ottime condizioni con pochi piccoli difetti: un piccolissimo strappo nella parte superiore del retro copertina (sullo sfondo bianco) e un'ammaccatura nell'angolo in alto a destra sul retro, che arriva anche alla lato dove è stampato il titolo (si vede in una delle foto qui sotto, vicino alla parola THE  sul lato e vicino alla mano sinistra del personaggio che raffigura LA COSA) e ha provocato un piccolo strappo nel rivestimento laminato.
C'è anche una piccola area di distacco e rigonfiamento della laminatura sul lato sinistro della copertina lungo la costa (anche questa visibile nell'ultima foto) per una lunghezza di circa 6cm.
