Description
I'm selling this SIGNED Idles 'Mother' 7" vinyl.
Am I insane?!
No.
I'm doing it to raise money for Chandos House, an addiction treatment centre in Bristol, which saved the life of Idles guitarist Mr. Lee Kiernan.
He summed it up beautifully in this message...
Chandos saved my life.
After struggling with addiction for almost half of my life I went in and out of various rehabilitation centres until I ended up at Chandos. Their approach to tackling addiction in the real world resonated with me. No clinical white walls but a homely place that myself and other residents spent three months talking to each other openly about our feelings, to be vulnerable, to accept help from one another and to re-evaluate what is meant of being a ‘man’. I learned how to love myself again, and to accept love from others. I learned I could be creative without substances and most importantly I learned how to accept and live with my demons.
I have been clean and sober for over six years now and I will forever be indebted to Chandos for the love and support it showed me.
I would like to encourage people to donate whatever they can to help save Chandos so that they can continue to allow addicts the compassion and support to rebuild their lives, thank you,
Lee x
Without vital funding Chandos House may be forced to close by the end of the year so this is IMPORTANT!
I bought the single at the Village Underground gig on 23rd November 2017. Most of the band signed it that night and Mr. Joe Talbot added his wonderful squiggle last week. The single isn't sealed but it's never been played due to a lack of vinyl playing facilities on my part.
All money raised will be given to Chandos House and I'll throw in free postage as well. What are you waiting for?!
Thank you,
AIL
