MUCH RESPECTED British progressive jazz rock band consisting of some fine talent including Dick morrissey on Sax, drummer Cliff Davis and guitarist Geoff Whitehorn. The music is tough, riff driven jazz rock rock with copius soloing built atop some solid rocking drum 'n bass. The great thing about If was that unlike other UK jazzsters such as Colloseum, Isotope or Brand X, If were very much a harder edged rock band. That, if anything, was the secret to their sound giving them a greater palat of musical moves including heavy blues, hard rock and jazz.

'Not Just Another Bunch...' was their sixth and penultimate album and in retrospect stands head and shoulders as one of their finest releases. Recorded mainly in the US the album displasy a wild hearted disregard for covention, nudging asside conevtional values and going for broke with every track. 'In the Winter Of Your Life', 'Stormy Every Weekday Blues' and 'Still Alive' display a rare combination of gutsy ireverence and pin point accuracy. This was band out to take no prisoners.

Highly reccomended if you've never heard. Great copy by the way.

Vinyl: Beautiful virtually unplayed condition. One or two lone spindle marks and only light signs of any other use. Grades as top Ex+

Cover: No visible signs of use. Issued in a beautifully designed fully laminated cover. Sharp corners - no dings, no bends, no ring wear, no split seams and no creases. Spine is stiff, square and totally uncrushed. Impossible to find like this 41 years after release. Grades as shop fresh MINT!
