Up for bids is a great, mono Jazz LP by Ike Quebec called "Bossa Nova Soul Samba". Blue Note Records. BLP 4114. 1962.RARE ORIGINAL 1ST PRESSING!
"BLUE NOTE RECORDS INC • NEW YORK USA" ADDRESS ON BOTH LABELS!
NOTE: SCANNER HAD SOME TROUBLE WHERE IT MADE THE LABEL COLOR APPEAR LIGHTER. SO THERE ARE TWO PHOTOS OF EACH LABEL. ONE IS THE RIGHT AMOUNT OF DARK BLUE ON THE LABEL, THE OTHER IS LIGHTER AND SHOWS THE TRAIL-OFF.
Both sides' Trail-Off's have the "ear" and stamped "VAN GELDER"!
"?" SYMBOL AT THE BOTTOM OF BOTH LABELS.
Front of cover is laminated.
"43 West 61st St., New York 23" ADDRESS, BOTTOM-CENTER, ON BACK OF COVER.
Comes with original Blue Note Records inner sleeve in VG++ condition.
NOTE:
The grades I use are Mint (rarely used grade), Near Mint, VG+++ (rarely used grade), VG++, VG+, VG, VG Minus, Good+, Good, Fair and Poor.
Cover is in VG+ condition. Front is in really nice shape with some minor fraying by center of opening. Back of cover has some light wear and browning by the edges. No splits! All cover sides are completely intact! How about that spine photo! Strong and sturdy, this is a prime example of this cover!
I would rate the record’s condition as VG++. Looks gorgeous with some visual superficial marks that do not greatly affect play. Minor surface noise at times. Record still sounds great on my player! GOD BLESS BLUE NOTE & VAN GELDER!
