SETTLE IN FOR A LONG RUN OF COLLECTABLE LPs OF VARIOUS MUSICAL STYLES!! This is a reasonably priced ORIGINAL 1969 U.S. POMPEII RECORDS FUNK LP (NOT THE RECENT REISSUE) with shrinkwarp and original price sticker titled 'A Black Man's Soul' from Ike Turner with his band The Kings Of Rhythm. It is Pompeii Records catalog number SD 6003. Please note that unlike the recent reissue this ORIGINAL 1969 pressing has a full color Pompeii Records logo and the 'Dist. By Atco, Div. Of Atlantic Recording Corp.' inscription at the bottoms of the labels. Tracks: Thinking Black, Black Beauty, Ghetto Funk, Blacks' Alley, Black Angel, Getting Nasty, Funky Mule, Philly Dog, Scotty Souling, Up Hard, Nuttin' Up, Freedom Sound. Condition of record is a mid to high VG+ with all original gloss and a few light surface and sleeve marks which cannot be felt and will not affect play. Condition of cover is also a high VG++ with the original shrinkwrap still surrounding the cover, and with the only real flaws being a small slit cut into the right hand open edge, indicating a cutout copy, and a tiny bit of wear on the corners and along the open edge. This LP would be a choice addition to any Ike & Tina Turner-related or late 1960s funk record collection!
