This Apollo release includes many 78 rpm sessions in their catalog, which never were issued on vinyl. Due to time and space, I will not be able to give you all of the personnel on each tune. SIDE 1: PEE WEE (Willis “Gator” Jackson); ON MY OWN (Willis “Gator” Jackson); 2:30 BREAK (Charlei “Little Jazz” Ferguson; THE COUNT (Illinois Jacquet); LOVER (Eddie “Lockjaw” Davis) and MR. BIG HORN (Leo Parker). SIDE 2: FOXY (Eddie “Lockjaw” Davis); MAD LAD (Leo Parker); GOING HOME (Arnett Cobb); SOUTH STREET SPECIAL (Illinois Jacquet); PICK UP BOYS (Ben Webster, Coleman Hawkins and Georgie Auld); DARKNESS IN THE DELTA (Hilton Jefferson). This is a Deep Groove LP and a MONO recording.
I have graded the Vinyl as M- and the record jacket as EX for the following reasons. The vinyl is clear of any marks on both sides. There is no sign of wear in or around the spindle hole. The vinyl retains its original luster. The record jacket is in excellent to near mint condition. The reason that I graded it as excellent is that a small section of the lamination is loose from the cover, on the right side where you place the LP. Due to increased cost, I have to charge an additional $1.00 for packing in the crush proof box. Believe me, it’s worth it! The method of payment is PayPal. If you are a bidder who prefers to pay by other means, I suggest that you file a complaint! I regret the inconvenience. The LP will be shipped either by Media Rate @ $3.17 or by Priority Mail @ $5.95 and up depending where you reside. Overseas bidders should consider First Class Mail International.
