Description
THE SLITS: CUT
Extremely rare UK 1st pressing of Cut with inscriptions to the inner sleeve.
The inner sleeve has been contemporaneously inscribed on one side, in red pen by Ari Up (“Honest”) and the other side of the inner by Viv Albertine (“With Passion”) and Tessa Pollitt (“Wicked Basslines”). Strangely, this is the second time I have come across a copy inscribed in this way.
I am primarily a classical record dealer. My job of work is selling records – both online and at record fairs. I tend to grade records conservatively as classical collectors are often more fastidious than rock and pop collectors. For example, Very good does not mean ruined, it means light surface marks. Anything else will be noted.
I try not to use hyperbole to sell records, I hope that images, accurate grading and my reputation do that for me. I have 100% positive feedback and am proud to say that, in my years of selling records on eBay I have never received negative or neutral feedback.
Please feel free to ask any questions about this item and I will do my best to answer them.

GRADING
SLEEVE: VG+
The fully laminated sleeve is in really nice clean condition. There is a small bump to the bottom right hand corner and a little creasing to the bottom rear left hand corner. The inner (and inscriptions) is lovely and clean with just a little smudging. The inner has a 1 inch closed, and so not readily noticeable, split to the bottom edge.
RECORD: VG+
The record is in lovely condition. Under bright halogen light a couple of light sleeve removal type marks are visible. There are a couple of short, non feelable hairlines. These do not sound. The record sounds superb throughout with no pops or click and just some extremely faint and only very occasionally audible surface noise. Superb.
The above record grading is based on Record Collector magazine’s system:
Excellent (EX) The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and / or creasing.
Very Good (VG) The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.
Good (G) The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discolouration, etc.
Fair (F) The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise; it may even jump. The cover and contents will be torn, stained and / or defaced.
