INCREDIBLE JIMMY SMITH AT CLUB BABY GRAND BLUE NOTE 1529 FLAT EDGE LP EAR Jazz
Product Description
THE INCREDIBLE JIMMY SMITH LP
AT CLUB “BABY GRAND” WILMINGTON, DELAWARE
BLUE NOTE RECORDS # BLP 1529
Very early Mono pressing of this album with the flat outer record edge, manufactured on thick heavy vinyl. The copy we are offering here has the address on the labels as “Blue Note Records, 767 Lexington Ave, NYC” on both sides. Both record labels are Deep Groove and have no “R” and no “Inc.”. The labels read “33 1/3 Microgroove Long Playing”.
The back cover lists the address as “Blue Note Records, 767 Lexington Ave., New York 21”.
The music features Jimmy Smith on organ, Thornel Schwartz on guitar, and Donald Bailey on drums.
COVER: Although the front and back surfaces look pretty good, this cover grades Fair due to a 9 inch tear on the front cover. The torn area looks like tape was removed from it years ago. The top right edge has a 1 inch seam split and the bottom has a 12 inch seam split.
VINYL: The record looks better than the cover and grades a solid VG.
DEAD WAX (Side 1): RVG/ “The Ear”/ BN-LP-1529-A 9M
DEAD WAX (Side 2): RVG/ “The Ear”/ BN-LP-1529-B 9M
