Description
HMV N 2549
Artist: Miss Adhilakshmu
Tracks: Sthri Janmamemi Chilla Behag (Javali) / O Chelivanitu Rammana Jhanihuti (Javali)
Very solid South Indian vocalist in Telugu with plenty of melismatic flourishes, accompanied by a relatively distant harmonium and mridangam. Sounds like it might be a late acoustic or early electric recording, as the data on this series is scant - should be ca. 1927 recorded in Chennai (Madras).
Condition: V+ (plays a little better, with numerous light scuffs and tics, and decent gloss)
