INDIAN SUMMER - SELF TITLED 1971 PROGRESSIVE CLASSIC ON THE NEON LABEL IN EXCELLENT CONDITION
RCA NEON - CAT NO NE3 - MATRIX NUMBERS 3/3

This is a very nice and well-looked after first pressing copy of the Indian Summer classic in a rigid cover with an excellent inner gatefold, original black inner, and no major faults. The following description lists everything I can find which might be regarded as a fault as I want the buyer to be in no doubt what he or she is getting. It is a milestone in rock, and highly sought after, so I have hidden nothing about it's condition.
VINYL: EXCELLENT Retains a high shiny gloss finish. There are one or two wispy marks from sleeve removal and a couple of scuffs, but nothing serious. There is very little background noise aside from some minor clicks on side one, track 1, and very minor background on the run-ins, but nothing which interferes with the audio. The loudest background is actually on the run-OUT of the last track, but is not noticeable at all against the music. On side two there is some minor background noise between tracks, and a minor click for a few revolutions of track three. Overall the audio is extremely good, and the faults I have mentioned are not serious.
LABELS: EXCELLENT/VERY GOOD Original Neon "Aphrodite" image on Side one, with track listings and recording details on the reverse black label. The "Aphrodite" side is in mint condition with no marks and hardly any spindle traces. The black reverse is in excellent condition, but has a faint name written on the bottom of the label across the white small print - this is impossible to see unless the record is held at a sharp angle under bright light, and to all intents and purposes it is virtually invisible.
COVER: VERY GOOD+ A vey good example of the E.J. Day gatefold cover - the interior gatefold spread is virtually as new, with no creasing, writing, marks or dirt. The front cover has no creasing or major scuffing - there is a small area of ring-wear at the top, and the Neon label symbol on the top right has been scuffed by a sticker removal.The back cover is undamaged apart from a scuffed bottom left corner caused by storage. The spine is intact, fully readable and rigid. The original black inner sleeve has seam splits and is included along with a new poly-lined anti-static inner sleeve.
OVERALL: I have owned several copies of this album over the years - this is not mint, and not the best, but it comes close. It plays beautifully, notwithstanding the minor faults mentioned above, and in this condition this record is now extremely rare and highly collectable.

Excellent - The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. Very Good - The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Good - The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches.
