Description
What I’m offering is a copy of the INSANELY RARE, PRIVATE PRESS, self-titled jazz LP by Elysian Spring, issued on Despa 349 in 1969. This is an ORIGINAL pressing and NOT a reissue of any kind.
The grading on the LP is VG cover, VG+ record.
The cover has moderate ringwear (common for this cover) and surface wear on the front, heavy top seam wear (bottom seam and spine are fine), and small dings/ creases in the corners.
The record has sleeve marks and a few small scuffs and/or hairline scratches per side. The record is a somewhat noisy pressing with numerous clicks/ pops during playback. I attribute that to 1) it being a small label pressing, 2) possible dirt within the grooves, though they look fine to the naked eye, and 3) the hairline scratches. Regardless, this is still an enjoyable copy.
I can’t stress enough how RARE this record is. I live here in Western Massachusetts, where this private press was issued, and this is only the 2nd copy that I have ever found in 40+ years of collecting records and selling records. It is that RARE. It may be a while before another copy comes up for sale.
