ITALIAN JAZZ LIBRARY HOLY GRAIL!

Italian Jazz masterpiece and mega-rare Library album from the infamous Sermi Film vaults. Supposed to be pressed in 1969, this insane jam is among the legendary Italian Jazz and Library recordings and almost impossible to find nowadays. Released on the killer 'INTERMEZZI' series composed of 6 albums, music is credited to "I Solisti Dell'Unione Musicisti Di Roma", a Roman ensemble of the top Library, Soundtracks and Jazz musicians acting in Rome at the time. The session is leaded by maestro Alessandro Alessandroni & Leopoldo Perez Bonsignore aka Donanin, accompained by the obscure V.Graziani and Francesco De Masi. Outstanding class vibes - the infamous "Jazz A Calcutta" gives some stoned Sitar Jazz grooves with Psychedelic feel / laid-back Lounge Jazz perfect tunes / Easy Listening & night-club Jazz swings / killer Jazzy beats / lovely Bossa and Exotic influenced sounds.

Our clip starts with the mental Sitar Jazz banger "JAZZ A CALCUTTA" (mispelled "YAZZ" on label) with Sitar played by maestro Alessandroni: totally mindmelting vibes with frantic rhythms, insane stoned Psychedelic Sitar notes driven by devastating drum breakbeats and huge bassline. Follows the stylish Bossa theme "ALTALENA PARTY" also featured on Sermi SP 117 - L'ITALIA VISTA DAL CIELO by Francesco De Masi.  The bewitching Bossa groove "IN CROCIERA" is an alternative take of BOSSA ITALIANA from the Sermi SP 110 'Farfalla' holy grail - A.ALESSANDRONI E IL SUO COMPLESSO, without Edda's Scat vocals but featuring a great guitar arrangement by the maestro and groovy drums. "JAZZ IN MESSICO" provides pounding boppish drums and fast-running beat. "SUN VALLEY" spinet and vibraphone Lounge Swing theme, moody Jazz cues on "BLIND SIDE". Infectious groovy beats from "GILGAMESH" and the Uptempo Jazz "ROCKFELLER CENTER". Various themes on the Classic Jazz "THEME FOR UMBERTO", "CIK CIK" and the clubbing Jazz Swing "THEME FOR ALFIO". Very Rare LP!

Record: Solid VG++ shape to clean EX. Surface visual marks don't affecting the superb playing. Some local tiny tics but the whole albums sounds close to NM thanks to the Sermi high-quality vinyl pressing. Cover: Solid VG+ shape. The soft folded cardboard shows light age wear on back and very slight ring wear. Front sleeve suffers some crease lines on corners due to very thin cardboard. Amazing shape, impossible to find in any other better conditions!
