Description
Up for auction is a Jazz LP Record by tenor sax master Johnny Griffin, "Introducing Johnny Griffin," Blue Note Records, 1533, 1956, Mono. Label has Lexington Ave. address and groves on the label (see pictures). The trailoff area has the RVG stamp and "ear."
The lineup on this album is: Johnny Griffin, sax; Wynton Kelly, piano; Curly Russell, bass; and Max Roach, drums.

The record is in good condition. I always play parts of records that may be a problem and I spotted a line that went through tracks 2, 3 and 4 on the B side. I played these tracks and happy to report that although there is a faint clicking sound for about two minutes, it eventually fades entirely. The A side has some scuffs and short surface lines. There is some wear around the record hole on both sides. Both labels have some very light soiling on parts of the groove. There is an address label on the A side which it might be possible to remove. I smeared the letters to protect their privacy.
The album cover is in fair condition. There is visible wear on the front and back. The original price sticker is on the back. There is an untaped split along half of the bottom seam. There is also an approximately 2 inch split on the upper sleeve that starts at the opening end. The side seam has no splitting.
