Description

Hello and welcome to my listing of this incredible copy of the famous "Introducing The Beatles" LP on Vee Jay Records.

PLEASE READ ENTIRE DESCRIPTION!

This copy is 100% legit from early February 1964 and is the MONO Version II, according to noted Beatles record expert Bruce Spizer and his price guide listings (I actually emailed the same photos to Bruce last fall and had this confirmed) and is in amazing shape. LP was discovered still in plastic wrap at auction last summer, with original JC Penney price tag taped inside the cover (see pics, tag is included) so I was the guy who actually opened the plastic to check out the label on the actual vinyl. Here is an accurate description for everyone:

- Label is the VJ 1062 (2).MR1B version from the price guide, with the famous rainbow color & Vee Jay oval logo.

- George Harrison's shadow is clearly visible on the far right side of front cover, and the name of the album is separated from the group's name on the label.

- The song "Please, Please Me" listed with the comma on the back of the sleeve, making it VJ 1062 (2).MC1B in the price listing.

- Vinyl is MINT- or better. That's 100% accurate. Album has never been played before, as you can see in the photos. The shine is original and perfect. Only some minor dust from the sleeve, no scratches or markings on either side of the disc. Again, the disc has NEVER BEEN PLAYED, as I was the guy that opened the actual wrap.

- Spine of the sleeve is intact, with a slight 1' split on the album title that HASN'T destroyed the lettering, and another small split on the top edge, about the same size. Neither is very serious, but I wanted to be up front with the description, as I know Beatles collectors are entirely over the top in regards to everything being 'perfect." Front cover is stunning, amazing color, slight dent on top left corner. Back of sleeve is also clean. Despite these flaws, I'm certain its the best cover sleeve on eBay as well.

Price guide listings from 2001 listed the value of this copy at roughly $300.00 in VG+ condition. This is far superior and should be treated as such, as it is the finest copy of the album I have ever encountered over the last decade or so. Compare this copy to the numerous others listed on eBay at this moment, you'll see it's not even close.
