Introducing the Beatles
Genuine Vee Jay Issue
MONO cover version II, VJ1062 (2). MCIB. Please, Please Me with comma and no number "2" on back cover. White background sleeve (not pictured) with 25 color photos of other albums on the Vee Jay label. No seam splits, 5 tiny pinholes, 1 bumped corner, no ring wear, very little edge wear mostly on corners. Sleeve has no splits and is quite good but crimped in two corners.
MONO disc version II, left justified titles, oval logo. I could find only 5 very tiny light scratches on the record and without these would rate it Near Mint. I believe this is the Columbia pressing plant, the matrix has some numbers and a "C".
This album is one of the most counterfeited in history. This one is a genuine Vee Jay and I will delineate the reasons:
Cover -
- Front cover shows shadow of George
- Cover slicks are semi-glossy to glossy in appearance
- Overlap of cardboard is 1/4" on inside top and bottom
- Printing is good quality C
Record
- Rainbow colorband is raised slightly and not flat textured
- The Beatles and Introducing the Beatles is not separated by the center hole
- The width of the trailoff is not equal to or more than 1"
- The print, color brightness and quality are all sharp
- Machine stamping the trail-off area
