Description
PLEASE NOTE: I WILL ONLY GRADE AN OPENED LP NEAR MINT (NM) IF I CAN GUARANTEE IT HAS NEVER BEEN PLAYED (i.e. I AM THE ORIGINAL OWNER). OTHERWISE, NEAR MINT MINUS (NM-) IS THE ABSOLUTE HIGHEST GRADE I WILL ASSIGN AN OPENED LP.
VERY RARE original Jerry DeClercq mastered Columbia pressing on Vee-Jay from 1964 in glorious mono with the label logo inside a red oval at the top, no question mark at the end of Do You Want To Know A Secret on side 2, a shadow behind George Harrison on the front cover, Please, Please Me printed with a comma on the rear cover and hand-etched (NOT stamped) matrix numbers in the dead wax runout!!! This is the ONLY genuine original pressing to have no stamped matrix details. LP is G visually with lots of light scuffs but only a few tiny scratches that can be felt. Plays much better than it looks. Cover is VG/VG+ with a hint of edge wear. A semi-glossy publicity photo was enclosed inside this LP when I purchased it but I have absolutely no way of confirming its authenticity nor the time so it's staying with the LP.

NEAR MINT: LOOKS UNPLAYED VG++: VERY VERY MINIMAL SIGNS OF USE VG+: AVERAGE SIGNS OF USE, NOTHING DEEP, SUPERFICIAL VG: STILL AN OK RECORD, NOISE BETWEEN SONGS
GOOD: WORN BUT PLAYS FINE WITH DISTRACTING NOISE POOR: FILLER COPY ONLY. LOTS OF SCRATCHES
