IRA & CHARLIE LOUVIN
A Tribute To The Delmore Brothers
From the time that the Louvin Brother joined the Grand Ole Opry in 1955, right up thru their split in 1963, the Louvin Brothers cut a bunch of sides for Capitol and for a while in 1955-'56 they were hitting time and again with songs like "When I Stop Dreaming," "I Don't Believe You've Met My Baby" and "You're Running Wild." But beyond those hits, their OTHER records are really strong, great old fashioned country performances.
THIS ALBUM is from October of 1960, and has the Louvin Brothers with their tribute to The Delmore Brothers. This is an original pressing with the color label, and logo on the left side of the label. It’s got very detailed notes on the back, provided by a fan of both the Demore Bros. and the Louvin Bros.: and that’s Merle Travis.
