For auction is the IRA SULLIVAN QUINTET, self-titled, on Delmar DL-402, MONO, 1960. With Johnny Griffin.
SOUND: VG++
It has been machine-cleaned and I listened to both sides completely. Wow! Absolutely awesome. There is one little caveat that keeps this record from grading near-mint. There are 4 consecutive soft ticks in A1, "Wilbur's Tune." That's it! The rest is delightful.
VINYL: VG+
Visually, the vinyl looks very nice. there are a few very faint marks or scuffs that don't affect the sound. On clean, light-blue Delmar labels. One label is stamped "sample".
COVER: VG
The cover is a little worn around the edges, with a few inches split on both top and bottom. The spine is solid. The front and back covers are fairly clean, with minor, routine wear/aging. The back has a "demo" stamp, and the front has the letter, "J" in red marker top left corner.

Every record I auction has been cleaned on a Nitty Gritty vacuum/cleaner. I played every record to determine if there are static, tics, pops, hisses, what have you. I endeavor to thoroughly report any extraneous audio "noise" or problems of any significance. Other than that, I will report on the general condition of each record, both vinyl and jacket, according to Goldmine standards, to the best of my ability.
Every record is put into a new, clean sleeve insert. In the case of an interesting original sleeve insert, I'll include that in the sale.
If you're into this stuff, you might want to save me to your seller's list and check back periodically. I'll be putting a lot of vintage jazz records up for auction.
