Description
- Iron Butterfly released their second studio album "In-A-Gadda-Da-Vida" in June 1968 on Atco Records. The anthemic title track with Ron Bushy's legendary drum solo takes up one whole side of the record. It sold 8 million copies in its first year and continued selling for decades as it became one of the biggest sellers ever in the Atlantic Records catalog.
- This copy of (SD 33-250) is from the First Pressing under license by Atlantic to Record Club Of America and is in very good condition considering it now well over 50-years-old. This is the first version with Atco yellow labels, the 1841 Broadway address, and the misspelling of "Terminaton" on the back cover. The cover shows some edge and ring wear and has a small slit on the top but I still grade it VG+. Please see the pictures. The disc test plays cleanly and is VG+ which is as high as I go on vintage vinyl. It was mastered at Atlantic Studios in NYC and was pressed at the Presswell Records Mfg. Co. plant in Ancora, N.J. The Side One dead wax is etched ST-C-681329-E p AT AB W.
- In addition to its original packaging, this album will come with a high quality Anti-Static Round Bottom Inner Sleeve to hold the vinyl disc and a sturdy 3 mil. polyethylene Archival Quality Outer Sleeve.

- This vintage 12" vinyl album has been sitting upright on a shelf in climate controlled storage for the past 53 years. It has not been played in decades other than a quick test spin for this sale which found no skips or obvious flaws. Like all used records it should be cleaned and wiped with an anti-static brush to minimize the occasional pops that are part of playing vinyl albums. Buyers should note that this is a well-cared for but used record and it will have some minor imperfections.
