Killers was my introduction to Maiden when I bought the album after seeing a picture of the cover in Hit Parader magazine when I was in 7th grade.  I had no idea what they sounded like but knew it had to be great just based on the image of Eddie axing someone to death in the street.  The music was even better than anything I could have anticipated.  This was when it all came together for Maiden.  Slightly more polished (but far from over-polished) and less punky and shambolic than their debut, they truly found their footing with a straightforward, metallic, aggressive sound that's never been bettered.  Don't get me wrong, I love the Dickinson catalog, particularly his first three LPs, but this album was simply all business and steered clear of the more cartoonish and sometimes (whisper it) proggy elements of that era.  This, for me, is the album that will forever define the band.  Every metal fan NEEDS this LP.  (We'll miss you Paul).  LP is an ULTRA RARE original Jay Maynard mastered Jacksonville first pressing from 1981 on Harvest with MASTERED BY CAPITOL stamped in the dead wax on both sides!!!  LP is VG++ with some cosmetic clouding that does not affect play in the least.  Cover has a light crease in the bottom right hand corner and is still in the original shrink wrap.  Even has the original $4.99 Provincetown Record Rack (R.I.P.) price sticker in the top right hand corner on the cellophane on the front cover.  A high grade copy of this first pressing with impeccable provenance.  THIS is what collecting is about so don't sleep Maiden collectors.
