IRON MAIDEN - NO PRAYER FOR THE DYING / EMI / 1990
Up for sale this extremely rare Uruguay test pressing of the No Prayer For The Dying lp, that as a matter of fact, was never released in this country on vinyl but on cassette. It comes housed in a promotional EMI red cover.
By early 90s the vinyl plants of the area stopped production and no more vinyl releases were made, only cassettes . I guess that the present edition is a kind of "advanced copy", I mean a "project" of what would turn out to be the Uruguay release that finally did not hit the market, probably due to the industry collapse.
It was given to me by a former pressing plant worker that kept it with him for the last 30 years.
I never heard of, knew about or saw one like this before, so it's fair to say this might be a collector's piece.
Runout shows number EMD 1017 and text I cannot read well.
Jacket is EX, with just moderate wear / Record is EX, keep is nice gloss and shows few lite scuffs, plays great. Typed details, sticker and promo ink stamp on A side label, sticker, typed and handwritten details, sticker and promo ink stamp on B side.
