Description

IRON MAIDEN: POWERSLAVE.

The Magnificent Maidens' 5th Album, this 1984 Album played very well on my Record Player (can record a short video on request) without "sticking" or "jumping", but my ear picked up a slight "tick" on "The Duellists": would still like to Grade it as "EX". In Images, have tried to show the visual condition of the vinyl: parts of it look scratched, but can't hear anything on playback, other than the slight tick. I've tried to fill in as many Item Specifics as I could.

The Outer Sleeve: at some point in the 2000's, I took the cellophane wrapper off this, and was left with some "markings", as I've tried to show in Images, and has one little "spidery crease", so downgrading to VG+ as it's not as perfect as I would've liked. The actual structure of the Sleeve is perfect: no tears or bends.

The Inner Sleeve is Near Mint.

This still may be better than most out there, and also better than one you might be trying to replace.

Released in early September 1984, this reached Number 2 on the Official UK Chart (likely to be kept off the top by Now 3!), staying in for 3 Months. It's also likely that I bought this very soon after release. It has 2 Hit Singles:

2 Minutes To Midnight, Number 11

Aces High, Number 20

(have Guinness Hit Singles & Albums Book as reference).

Losfer Words (Big 'Orra) also appears from this within the later First Ten Years Box Set, just before Listen With Nicko! Part VII  !!

I have this in another format now, so happy to let it go.  Matrix Numbers are - EJ 2402001: TA-5C-1-1 & T 3-5C-1-1. As both end in "1's", is it a First Pressing? Someone out there may know. Runouts also have: DD & D.

I always use a record cloth before playing, but am sure everyone knows what static does!

Having put all my Records in order early last year (took several weeks!), I've been playing through them for the first time in nearly 30 years - very enjoyable so far - but with space having to be freed up now (this has been in 4 different houses with me), this is the 165th of 366 Artist L.P.'s which I started with (am keeping 96 of them so far), with a further 40 Comedy or Compilation L.P.'s.

Please feel free to ask anything.

Many thanks, Scott.
