Single DEAR ANGIE/NO ESCAPE (The Iveys), Apple 5C006-90493M.
This is the original 1969 Holland issue of this classic single by the IVEYS, the first band to sign with The Beatles' owned APPLE label. The Iveys of course went on to become BADFINGER, the rest is (tragic) history. This single was ignored in the late 1960s and was only issued in a handful of countries. In Holland it was issued in a superb Picture Sleeve and word has it that no more than only a few hundred copies have been pressed (most of which went unsold in the 1960s), and only very few have survived. It is absolutely the rarest Dutch Apple Records issue in existence and copies of this single only very seldom turn up. This copy is in a very good condition: The disc is EXCELLENT, and has its original centerpiece still intact. The picture sleeve has had a piece of sellotape removed from the top (front only) which has left an odd shine here and there, plus it has a small damage from sticker removal and there is some usage small damages/seam splits. Copies of this single are seldom being offered on eBay so if you are an Iveys/Badfinger fan you don't want to wait until a better one comes up for auction! RARE RARE RARE !!!!!!!
