Description
Ian Brown - Golden Greats Limited to 2000 worldwide and only 300 in the UK
Cracking album from Ian Brown released on a very rare 2 x Gold Heavyweight vinyl with etched D side. Golden Greats is the second solo album released by Ian Brown, the ex-frontman of The Stone Roses. Despite the title, the album is not a compilation, but a studio album. Still sealed, photos are from my other copy as I was lucky enough to get two.
It was described by NME as “a left-field masterpiece and Brown’s best work for a decade”. The album contains soaring sonic textures and electronic dance beats; it is less song-oriented than Unfinished Monkey Business. Golden Greats showcases a diverse usage of instruments including strings, mellotron and organs.
